What preparation must a leadership team complete between Focus Day and Vision Building 1 to avoid wasting the session debating unvetted data?
The thirty days between Focus Day™ and Vision Building™ 1 are designed to test your operational footing before you open strategic debates on the V/TO®. If the team shows up unprepared, Vision Building stalls.
First, your Level 10 Meeting™ must run weekly without exception. The Integrator must ensure every meeting starts on time, reviews the Scorecard and Rocks quickly, and uses at least 60 minutes for true IDS®. If the team has not experienced four real Level 10 Meetings before Vision Building 1, they will lack the trust needed to debate core ideology.
Second, every leadership seat must have active, weekly measurable numbers populated on the Scorecard. Showing up to Vision Building 1 with blank rows or unverified metrics means you cannot accurately assess company capacity or performance baselines.
Third, each executive must review their preliminary seat definition on the Accountability Chart. They need to observe their daily workload through the lens of their five core roles and identify where work is falling through cracks or where they do not GWC™ their seat. Bringing verified operational friction into Vision Building 1 gives the session immediate relevance and prevents abstract theorizing.
