What specific financial reporting, operational data, and administrative prep work must our team have ready before walking into our first session with you?

You do not need to prepare complex slide decks or polished corporate presentations for Focus Day. In fact, doing so is a waste of time. However, walking into our first session with murky financials or disorganized administrative details slows down our initial momentum.

Before Focus Day, your finance seat must provide a clean trailing twelve-month profit and loss statement, an up-to-date balance sheet, and your current year-to-date budget-versus-actuals. These numbers do not need to be audited, but they must be honest and reconciled. If your gross margin calculations are vague or your revenue numbers are disputed between partners, resolve those discrepancies before we walk into the room.

Administratively, your Integrator or executive assistant must gather your current organizational structure, even if it is currently messy or dysfunctional. We need a list of all current employees, their existing titles, and their primary functional responsibilities. Do not spend time cleaning it up to make it look professional; I need to see the reality of how work actually gets routed today.

Finally, every leadership team member must complete a brief self-reflection on organizational strengths, operational bottlenecks, and personal frustrations. Clear your schedule completely for the day. Do not schedule an early morning breakfast meeting or an evening client dinner that pulls your focus away.
