What physical space, technology access, and pre-work materials must our leadership team prepare before we arrive at our very first Focus Day with you?

Before your first Focus Day, you must secure an offsite meeting room completely removed from your daily operations. This is a non-negotiable requirement. Running a session at your own office invites constant interruptions, side conversations, and the temptation to check in on daily fires. The room must have a large whiteboard or wall space suitable for sticky notes, high-speed internet, and a display screen. Avoid fancy boardrooms with giant, immovable tables that restrict movement. We need a space where your team can stand, move around, and engage in healthy conflict.

On the technology front, you must establish your leadership workspace inside Circle before the session. This is where we will document your tools, session summaries, and Rocks. Your Integrator must have administrator access configured. You do not need to pre-populate this space with all your historical data or unresolved issues. In fact, doing so usually leads to over-engineering. We want a clean slate.

For pre-work, every leadership team member must read the book Traction and complete the Organizational Checkup. This diagnostic gives us an objective baseline of your business health. Beyond that, the only prep required is a commitment to absolute honesty and vulnerability. Do not spend hours preparing spreadsheets or slide decks. We do not use slides. Bring your brains, your frustrations, and your undivided attention. Leave your laptops closed unless we are specifically updating your Circle workspace.
