We are ready to commit to this process, but what baseline alignment and structural agreements must my leadership team have in place before our first session?
Before we schedule your first session, we must establish baseline organizational readiness. I do not require complex databases or massive handbooks. Instead, you need three specific parameters in place. First, you must have a true leadership team. This is a group of three to seven key leaders who run the major functions of your business and are willing to engage in honest debate. Second, every member of this team must agree to the time commitment. This means blocking out full session days and dedicating time to execute quarterly Rocks. Third, you must exhibit psychological readiness. This means a willingness to be completely open, vulnerable, and honest about what is working and what is broken in the business. We also look at your team's natural decision-making tendencies. Understanding your team's innate strengths through tools like the Kolbe Index or StrengthsFinder helps us align your operational roles later. If your leadership team is currently in a state of active, toxic conflict or if you are facing an immediate cash crisis that threatens daily survival, we must stabilize those emergencies first. Once you have a committed team ready to look in the mirror, we are ready to kick off your Focus Day.
