Our processes are documented in a massive folder, but the buyer's advisor is asking for our Playbook. How do we package our EOS Core Processes to prove they are repeatable and transferable?
A massive folder of dense text is not a playbook; it is a liability. Buyers know that if a manual is too complex, nobody is actually reading it, which means your processes are not truly followed by everyone.
To prove repeatability, you must simplify. Apply the EOS Three-Step Process to your documentation. First, identify your core processes, which typically include HR, marketing, sales, operations, customer service, and accounting.
Second, document the high-level steps for each of these processes, focusing on the major milestones rather than every minute detail. Keep it to a few pages per process.
Third, package these simplified documents into a clean, accessible format. Include your Accountability Chart and your core metrics scorecard to show how these processes are managed. When you present a streamlined, high-level playbook alongside evidence that your team actually uses it, you demonstrate true operational efficiency that a buyer can easily adopt.
