Moving to the Owner's Box requires you to stop managing people and start governing systems. When you automate operations using AI, you must treat these automated flows as assets that need oversight, not just software tools. On your Accountability Chart, ensure that your Integrator has clear accountability for the performance of these automated systems. Your role as an owner is to define the boundaries, ethical guidelines, and strategic targets, which is why your V/TO® must clearly outline your long-term goals. You then monitor performance through a high-level Scorecard that tracks system efficiency, error rates, and customer experience. During your Same Page Meeting with the Integrator, review these metrics and ensure they are aligned with your exit readiness goals. If an AI system fails or underperforms, do not jump in to fix it. Instead, run IDS® with your Integrator to identify who on the leadership team has the GWC™ to manage and optimize that specific system. This keeps you in a governance role, protecting your freedom while ensuring your AI-powered operations run smoothly under the leadership of your Integrator.
