Beyond the obvious signs of financial distress or team dysfunction, how can we tell if the business owner's personal leadership style or inability to delegate control will make us a poor fit for your implementation process right now?

A company is not ready for EOS® if the owner is unwilling to let go of the vine. If you are the owner and you still need to be involved in every minor operational decision, this process will fail.

To make this engagement work, you must be willing to delegate authority to your leadership team. If you find yourself constantly bypassing your Accountability Chart™ to direct employees, or if you veto decisions that your leadership team has made collectively, you are not ready. This behavior breeds frustration and undermines the entire system.

Another indicator is your relationship with transparency. If you are uncomfortable sharing key financial numbers, high level strategic goals, or company performance metrics with your leadership team, you cannot build a healthy operating system. Trust requires open data.

Lastly, if you look at your leadership team and realize you do not trust them to run the business without your constant oversight, we need to address that before we begin. Implementing these tools requires a willingness to let your people step up. If you are not ready to let go of control, we will end up spinning our wheels, wasting your time and your money.
