I am the founder and currently occupy four operational seats on our Accountability Chart. Because I carry so much workload, my leadership team gives me a pass when I miss my own Rock deadlines or Scorecard numbers. How do we break this dynamic?

This dynamic destroys organizational culture faster than market downturns. When the owner misses Rocks or runs off-track Scorecard measurables without consequence, you establish two sets of rules: one for leadership and one for the founder. The rest of your leadership team will quickly stop taking their own commitments seriously.

To break this, you must treat your seats as formal organizational responsibilities rather than honorary titles. During your weekly Level 10 Meeting, you are not the owner. You are an employee reporting on specific measurables. If your Operations Rock is off track, it drops directly to the Issues List for IDS, just like anyone else's.

Give your Integrator explicit permission to hold you accountable without fear of reprisal. If you are sitting in the Integrator seat yourself, the vulnerability falls entirely on you to call out your own misses and ask the team to problem-solve the bottleneck. If you consistently fail to hit your numbers across four seats, it is mathematical proof that you lack the capacity for all four. Use that pain as the catalyst to document processes and delegate your least effective seat immediately.
