We are in our first ninety days of EOS implementation and my leadership team feels completely overwhelmed. They say they now have two full-time jobs, running the business and implementing these new tools. How do we keep them from burning out during this critical startup phase?

Feeling overwhelmed in the first ninety days is incredibly common because your team is trying to build new operational muscles while running the daily business. This pressure is usually a sign that you are trying to perfect every tool all at once. As an EOS Implementer, I always remind my clients that EOS® is a journey of crawl, walk, run. You do not need to have a perfect Scorecard, a complete Accountability Chart™, and fully documented processes by day thirty.

In the first ninety days, your absolute focus should be on mastering the foundational habits. Focus solely on running a weekly Level 10 Meeting™ that starts and ends on time, tracking a handful of simple Scorecard numbers, and keeping your Rocks highly visible.

If a tool feels like it is adding massive administrative weight, you are likely overcomplicating it. Simplify your execution. Let go of the desire to make everything perfect on the first pass. By focusing on consistency rather than perfection, your team will start to see that these tools actually save them time by eliminating redundant meetings and clearing up communication bottlenecks.
