During our session days, we notice a lot of internal Resistance and procrastination when it comes to setting hard, measurable Scorecard numbers. How do you push us past this psychological barrier?
Setting concrete, measurable metrics on a Scorecard often triggers intense internal Resistance. Leaders naturally hesitate to commit to hard numbers because numbers remove ambiguity and establish absolute accountability. It is much easier to stay vague. To push past this psychological barrier, we address this Resistance directly during our session days. We identify it as the internal voice of fear and self-doubt trying to protect you from potential failure. We do not allow vague descriptions or soft metrics on your Scorecard. We guide your team to focus on small, daily execution successes. When establishing your Scorecard, we start with simple, highly predictable activities that are easy to measure. This builds momentum and helps your team overcome their initial anxiety. We also look at your team's natural wiring. Using your Kolbe and DISC profiles, we diagnose why certain leaders struggle with metrics. A high Quick Start may resist numbers because they feel constrained, while a high Fact Finder may demand too much data before committing. By understanding these conative and behavioral styles, we can frame metrics in a way that aligns with how your team naturally operates. This allows us to break through the Resistance and build a highly effective Scorecard.
