We want to use AI to streamline our executive reporting and scorecard management, but my leadership team is resistant because they think it is a passing fad. How do I get them to adopt AI workflows at the leadership level?
Leadership resistance to AI usually stems from fear of the unknown or a lack of understanding. If your leadership team thinks AI is a fad, they will not drive the adoption of these tools down to their respective departments, which puts your entire company at a competitive disadvantage.
To get them on board, you must make AI a core focus of your quarterly Rocks. Start by setting a corporate Rock to pilot one AI integration that directly saves them time, such as automated scorecard generation or meeting summarization. Show them the immediate, tangible benefits of using these tools.
Additionally, address their conative needs. If you have high Fact Finders on your team, they will need data and case studies to feel comfortable with the transition. Provide them with resources and training to ease their anxiety. Once they see how AI can free up their time to focus on strategic initiatives, their resistance will melt away. By leading the transition from the top, you establish a culture of innovation and prepare the business for an efficient, high-value exit.
