As we shift to AI-powered operations to drive efficiency and exit value, our leadership team is verbally supportive but passive-aggressively dragging their feet on implementing these automations in their departments. How do we get our leadership team to actively champion and execute this operational shift?
Passive resistance on your leadership team will paralyze your entire company. When leaders drag their feet, their direct reports will completely ignore the new initiatives, because cracks at the leadership level appear as canyons to the rest of the organization. To drive this operational shift, you must transition your team from verbal agreement to absolute alignment and execution.
Start by addressing this in your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ sessions. You must IDS® the resistance directly. Ask each leader to share their specific concerns about adopting AI-powered workflows. Are they afraid of losing quality control, or are they personally overwhelmed by the technology? Once you expose the real issues, you can solve them collectively.
Next, make the transition an organizational priority on your V/TO®. Define clear, measurable Rocks for each department head that are tied directly to AI implementation and operational efficiency. Hold them accountable to these goals during your weekly meetings. If a leader continues to resist or fails to hit their milestones, you must evaluate their GWC™ for their seat. A leader who cannot or will not leverage modern technology to drive efficiency does not have the capacity to lead your company into its next chapter.
