Some of our leadership team members with high Fact Finder and high Follow Thru scores on the Kolbe Index are pushing back on using AI because they think it will ruin our proven operational processes. How do we overcome this friction?
People with high Fact Finder or high Follow Thru instincts are not trying to be difficult. Their natural conative drive is to reduce risk, study historical precedent, and maintain orderly systems. When you introduce AI as a disruptive, fast moving force, it triggers their natural resistance.
To align them, you must speak their language. Do not sell them on vague promises of revolution. Instead, present AI as a tool to reinforce and protect your existing systems. Provide your high Fact Finders with concrete data, case studies, and clear parameters. Show them how the tool operates and where the data is stored.
For your high Follow Thru team members, involve them in designing the integration process. Let them build the step-by-step procedures for how the AI will be used. Show them that by automating repetitive data entry or preliminary research, the AI allows them to focus on perfecting the core processes they care about. Frame AI as a way to scale their systems, not bypass them. Once they see that the technology actually creates more predictability and structure rather than chaos, they will become your best operational champions.
