I am eager to get started, but what are the specific indicators or organizational red flags that tell you our company is actually not ready to begin working with you?
Timing is everything. Implementing a business operating system requires a significant commitment of time, energy, and emotional labor. If your organization is in the middle of an active liquidity crisis or a major existential threat, you are not ready for this journey. You must have enough breathing room to focus on the business rather than constantly fighting fires just to keep the lights on.
The most common red flag is a lack of alignment or commitment at the very top. If the majority owner or the key leadership team members are resistant to being open and honest, the implementation will fail. You must be willing to show vulnerability, admit mistakes, and let go of the vine. If you are defensive or unwilling to hear hard truths about your people or processes, you are not ready.
Another critical indicator is a lack of discipline regarding time. If your leadership team is unwilling to commit to one full day every ninety days and a two day annual session, we cannot move forward. This process requires your undivided attention. If you expect to check emails, answer client calls, or step out of the room during our session days, you are not ready to build a healthy business. We will wait until you can commit completely.
