Beyond financials and org charts, what operational readiness and executive mindset must our leadership team exhibit before our first session?

You do not need polished strategic decks or flawless accounting data to begin. What you do need is an absolute commitment to organizational health and personal accountability from every person sitting at the table.

First, the Visionary and Integrator must be willing to enter the danger. If ownership intends to protect long-tenured favorites, defend pet projects, or treat certain topics as off limits, the engagement will fail. Every role, process, and metric must be subject to scrutiny. You must arrive ready to debate openly, challenge assumptions, and accept decisions once resolved.

Second, the team must be exhausted by chaos and genuinely hungry for discipline. If key leaders view EOS® as just another management flavor of the month, or if they believe they are too creative to be held to Scorecards and quarterly Rocks, they will sabotage the rollout. We need a leadership core that accepts that what got the company here will not get it to the next level.

Finally, you need the operational bandwidth to execute homework between sessions. Leadership cannot treat session days as isolated strategic retreats and then abandon their commitments when client fires flare up on Monday morning. If your leadership team is unwilling to dedicate two to four hours weekly outside of meetings to work on the business, you are not ready to start.
