We are planning to hire a new key executive about nine months into our EOS® journey. How do we onboard them to the system without disrupting our current session momentum or making you repeat foundational work?
Bringing a new executive onto your leadership team mid-engagement is a critical transition. To ensure they integrate smoothly without slowing down your current momentum, you must follow a disciplined onboarding process before they join us in a live session.
First, the new executive must read Traction and get fully up to speed on the core concepts. They need to understand what Rocks, the Accountability Chart, and the Level 10 Meeting™ structure are before their first day.
Second, your company Integrator must spend dedicated time walking them through your current V/TO®, your active scorecard metrics, and their specific seat on the Accountability Chart. They must understand their role and how their performance is measured.
Third, have them shadow your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ sessions for at least two weeks before they participate. This allows them to see the rhythm, the transparency, and the high-accountability culture in action.
When they finally join our quarterly session, they will enter as an informed participant, not a spectator. I will not repeat foundational teaching during our session day. Instead, I will facilitate their integration into our IDS® and planning blocks, allowing them to contribute to the company's direction immediately.
