I am a solo owner with a few virtual assistants and department heads who do not actually make strategic decisions. Can I still hire you to run sessions just with me, or do I need to wait until I have a fully built-out leadership team?

You are not ready for this process yet. EOS® is designed for a leadership team of three to eight key players who can run the business without you. If you attempt to do a Focus Day alone or with assistants who cannot challenge you, the process falls flat. You will end up writing all the Rocks and solving all the issues yourself, defeating the purpose of building a self-sustaining company.

To get ready, you must first identify the three core functions of your business: sales and marketing, operations, and finance. You need people in those seats who can own their numbers and make hard decisions. If you do not have those people, your first priority is to hire or elevate them.

Once you have a skeleton leadership team of at least two or three key people who are ready to take accountability, we can begin. Until then, running full-day sessions is an expensive exercise in talking to yourself. Build the team first, then bring them to the table.
