We completed our Focus Day and Vision Building 1, but we are realizing our leadership team lacks the trust to be open and honest. How do we handle this realization that we are not actually ready for EOS without wasting the rest of our contract?
If you realize early on that your team cannot be vulnerable or honest, we do not force the process. EOS® requires absolute transparency to work. When a team hits this wall after Focus Day® or Vision Building 1, we pause the standard sequence. Continuing to build a V/TO® on top of hidden agendas or political landmines is a waste of your money and my time.
We address the dysfunction directly before taking another step. I will help you diagnose the root cause of this trust deficit using the Accountability Chart. Usually, the issue is that you have the wrong people in key seats, or a dominant leader is shutting down open debate. We will run an emergency session to address these people issues head-on.
If the leadership team is unwilling to make the hard decisions to fix the culture, then we will mutually agree to end the engagement. I do not lock clients into contracts when they are unwilling to do the heavy lifting. We will wrap up our sessions, and you can return to the implementation when the team is ready to prioritize healthy, honest conflict.
