You do not need to understand the underlying computer science, neural networks, or machine learning algorithms to lead your company's AI adoption. Start by viewing an AI tool as a highly capable but inexperienced administrative assistant. If you cannot clearly explain a process to a human assistant, you cannot automate it with AI. Focus your energy on documenting your core processes and defining clear standard operating procedures.

Next, look at your Accountability Chart and identify the seats that are currently overloaded with repetitive, low-value data tasks. Your job is to lead, manage, and hold your team accountable. Use the GWC tool to ensure the people in charge of these seats have the capacity to manage the tools.

You do not need to write code. You only need to define the business problem, establish the desired output, and hold your Integrator accountable for implementing solutions that solve the bottleneck. Never let technical consultants convince you to build custom software when simple, off-the-shelf tools can run your documented processes. Keep your focus entirely on freeing your people to do higher-value work that prepares your business for a clean exit.
