What are your specific requirements for the physical meeting space we choose for our session days, and why does the environment matter so much?

To get the absolute most out of our session days, we must step outside of your daily physical environment. I require that we hold our sessions in a neutral, offsite location. This means no meeting in your company conference room, and no meeting at the founder's home. When you stay in your office, you are too close to the daily fires. It is impossible to think strategically when you can hear your team through the walls or when people are tapping on the glass to ask you a quick question. The offsite room must meet specific physical requirements. We need a private room with a large whiteboard, comfortable chairs, and a table that allows everyone to see each other face to face. We also need reliable wireless internet access, but all laptops and phones must remain closed during the meeting unless we are actively updating a document. Natural light is highly recommended to keep energy levels high during our long working sessions. By investing in a dedicated, neutral space, you signal to your leadership team that this day is different and that the work we are doing is of the highest strategic importance.
