Can you walk us through the actual mechanical flow of a quarterly session day so we know exactly how we spend our hours together?

A quarterly session day with me is a highly structured, fast-paced seven to eight hour day designed to get you out of the weeds and focused on the business. We begin with a brief segue to transition your minds from daily firefighting into the room, sharing personal and professional bests, and reviewing your previous quarter. Next, we review your progress on the V/TO to ensure alignment. We then evaluate your execution metrics, checking your Scorecard performance and checking the status of the Rocks you set ninety days ago. We also review your team health and ensure everyone is still the right person in the right seat. Once we have a clear picture of where we stand, we build our Issues List. This transitions us into the meat of the day, where we spend the majority of our hours on IDS, which stands for Identify, Discuss, and Solve. We do not just talk about problems; we dig to the root cause and solve them permanently. Finally, we establish your new Rocks for the next ninety days, clean up any lingering organizational details, and rate the meeting to ensure we are maintaining high standards of execution. It is a grueling but incredibly productive day that leaves your team aligned, energized, and clear on exactly what needs to be accomplished over the next ninety days.
