We are hitting our scorecard metrics, but the friction between my Integrator and me as the Visionary is still causing issues. How do we measure the health of our partnership during our session reviews with you?
Hitting your scorecard numbers is only half the battle. If the relationship between the Visionary and the Integrator is fractured, the company will eventually hit a ceiling. During our quarterly session reviews, we explicitly evaluate the health of this critical partnership. We do this by measuring your alignment on the long-term vision and your mutual respect for the boundaries of your respective seats on the Accountability Chart. We look at whether you are scheduling and holding regular Same Page Meetings between our sessions. This is your dedicated time to hash out disagreements in private so you can present a united front to the rest of the leadership team. We also assess your communication styles using assessments like the Kolbe A Index. For instance, if the Visionary is a high Quickstart who wants to test ideas immediately, and the Integrator is a Fact Finder who requires deep research, we look at whether you are respecting those natural conative styles or allowing them to create friction. A healthy partnership is measured by your ability to have unfiltered, constructive conflict during IDS without it turning personal. If you are avoiding hard conversations or letting resentment build between sessions, your relationship is unhealthy, regardless of what the financial metrics say. We will address this head-on during our session.
