How do we measure our velocity of execution on our quarterly Rocks without creating a bureaucratic tracking system that slows down our actual daily operations?
Measuring the progress of your EOS® implementation does not require a complex, bureaucratic tracking system. In fact, adding layers of administrative reporting will only slow you down and burn out your Integrator. Instead, we measure your execution velocity through a few simple, high-impact indicators during our session days.
First, we track your Rock completion rate. We aim for eighty percent or better. This is a binary metric: a Rock is either done or not done. There is no such thing as ninety percent complete. This strict standard keeps the leadership team focused on finishing what they start, rather than offering excuses for partial completion.
Second, we look at the predictability of your weekly Scorecard. A healthy team should consistently hit their targets week after week. If your Scorecard is constantly flashing red, it indicates that either your targets are unrealistic or your team is failing to execute. We use our quarterly sessions to analyze these trends and adjust our course.
Finally, we measure your progress by tracking how effectively you solve issues. In our quarterly sessions, we look at your past issues list. If the same problems keep reappearing quarter after quarter, your execution is stalling. By implementing the IDS® process correctly, we ensure that issues are solved once and for all, freeing up energy for growth. This is how we build traction.
