Outside of our quarterly Rock completion rates, how do we objectively measure our progress toward becoming a self-sustaining business that no longer needs outside facilitation?
We measure progress using objective data, not feelings. The primary tool we use to track your organizational health is the Organizational Checkup™. This is a twenty-question assessment that your entire leadership team completes before our annual session and mid-year quarterly. It measures exactly how strong your business is in the Six Key Components™ of the system.
Our goal is to get your business operating at 80 percent strength or higher across all six areas. This is the benchmark for a self-sustaining company.
We also track your progress by looking at your meeting execution. When we start, your team will rely on me to facilitate hard conversations and keep you on track. As we progress through our twenty-four-month journey, we measure how effectively your team runs its own weekly Level 10 Meeting™ sessions without outside intervention.
We look at your IDS® efficiency. In early quarters, solving a single issue might take your team an hour of circular debate. By year two, a healthy team should identify, discuss, and solve multiple complex issues per meeting by focusing on root causes rather than symptoms.
Finally, we measure your reliance on documented processes. A self-sustaining company has fully documented, automated, and simplified its core workflows. When your operations run consistently regardless of who is in the seat, and your team is hitting 80 percent of its Rocks and Scorecard measurables every single quarter, you are on track to graduate.
