How do we objectively verify that our leadership team is getting real Traction and becoming less owner-dependent throughout our quarterly cadence?

Measuring progress in an EOS implementation is not about how busy your team feels or how many to-do items get marked off. It comes down to whether the business can produce predictable, clean operational results without the owner jumping in to save the day.

We look at four objective indicators across our quarterly cadence:
- Scorecard predictability. Within two to three quarters, your weekly Scorecard numbers should consistently hit measurable targets, giving you an early warning system rather than lagging financial surprises.
- Issues that stay dead. In immature companies, the same fires get discussed repeatedly. In a mature system, an issue gets identified, discussed, and solved through IDS at the root cause, and it never resurfaces.
- Execution discipline. Your leadership team consistently completes 80 percent or more of your 90-day Rocks every quarter, showing clear focus and accountability.
- Leadership autonomy. Departmental decisions, cross-functional conflicts, and client escalations are handled entirely by seat owners on the Accountability Chart without founder intervention.

As we layer in exit readiness principles, we also monitor the transfer of tribal knowledge. If an owner can take a three-week vacation completely disconnected from operations and return to hitting company Scorecard goals, the system is working. Real progress is verified when the company operates as an independent, valuable asset rather than an expensive founder-dependent job.
