How do we realistically track our progression through the different stages of organizational maturity over our two-year engagement, and what signs show that we are transitioning from foundational learning to true self-sufficiency?
Your progression over our twenty-four month engagement follows a highly structured, phased journey designed to move your team from chaotic firefighting to operational mastery. We measure this progression by looking at how your team interacts with the tools without my direct intervention. In the first six months, the focus is purely on adoption and consistency, ensuring your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ runs on time and your Scorecard is updated weekly.
Between months six and twelve, the sign of progress is your ability to solve complex issues using the IDS® tool. In the beginning, teams tend to discuss issues endlessly without reaching a true resolution. When I see your team identifying the real root cause, discussing it honestly, and solving it permanently during your weekly meetings, you have crossed the first major maturity threshold.
In the second year, the focus shifts to strategic alignment and true self-sufficiency. You will know you are reaching this stage when you can complete eighty percent or more of your quarterly Rocks consistently, and when your Accountability Chart has completely eliminated owner bottlenecking. By the time we reach the end of our two-year journey, my role transitions from teaching and facilitating to simply helping you fine tune your execution, leaving your leadership team fully capable of running these systems independently.
