How do we objectively measure our operational exit readiness to know we are ready to go to market, rather than just relying on our broker telling us the market is hot?
True operational exit readiness has very little to do with market timing and everything to do with how well your business runs without you. You are ready to go to market when your physical presence is completely optional.
To test this, look at your Accountability Chart. If your name is still written in any seat other than Visionary, you are not ready. Your Integrator must be fully capable of running the company, managing daily operations, and leading the weekly Level 10 Meetings™ without your input.
Another critical signal is the stability of your company Scorecard and your quarterly Rocks. If your leadership team has hit their target metrics and completed their strategic priorities for four consecutive quarters with you completely out of the daily details, your operational engine is solid.
Buyers do not pay premium multiples for personal genius; they pay for repeatable organizational systems. When your operational framework runs on autopilot, you have a valuable asset that a buyer can easily transition and scale.
