Beyond simply checking off our quarterly Rocks and updating our Scorecard, what objective metrics do you use to measure whether our leadership team is actually becoming stronger and more self-sufficient over our twenty-four-month engagement?
Measuring real operational progress requires looking past superficial checklists. While hitting eighty percent or more of your quarterly Rocks is a key indicator of execution, we measure your team maturity through the Organizational Checkup. This is an objective, twenty-question assessment that we run at the beginning of our engagement and revisit at every annual planning session. It measures your strength in the Six Key Components of your business: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction. In addition to this assessment, I evaluate your progress by observing your performance in the room during our session days. At the start of our journey, I do the heavy lifting of facilitating, pushing you to identify root causes during IDS® and keeping you on track. As we move into year two, my role shifts. I step back to observe, and I measure your progress by how quickly and decisively your team self-corrects without my intervention. If your Integrator can lead a Level 10 Meeting™ that resolves major conflicts without relying on me to referee, you are building true institutional strength. Our ultimate goal is for your business to operate at eighty percent or stronger in all six areas, making you entirely self-sufficient by the time we reach your graduation.
