How do we evaluate if our leadership team is actually mastering the EOS tools over our twenty-four-month engagement rather than just relying on you to facilitate our meetings?
We measure progress by your team's ability to run the business independently and effectively. In the beginning, you will rely heavily on me to facilitate, enforce the rules, and guide you through the tools. But as we move through our twenty-four-month engagement, that dynamic must shift. I look for concrete indicators that your leadership team is taking ownership of the system. First, your weekly Level 10 Meetings™ must become highly productive and run on time without external prompting. Second, your team must achieve a high completion rate on quarterly Rocks, meaning you are actually hitting eighty percent or more of your goals every quarter. Third, your Scorecard must consistently provide a clear, forward-looking picture of your business performance. The ultimate test of progress is how your team handles conflict and issues. When you can identify, discuss, and solve hard organizational problems using the IDS® process on your own, without waiting for our quarterly sessions, you are building real operational muscle. If you are still waiting for me to settle internal disputes or tell you what your priorities should be by month twelve, we have a problem. True progress means your team becomes self-facilitating, leaving you with an exit-ready business that does not rely on any single individual.
