We are using our weekly Scorecard to track operations and sales, but we want to measure the health and alignment of our leadership team itself. What weekly metrics can we track to ensure our executive team is functioning cohesively?
While most scorecard metrics focus on outbound sales and operational delivery, neglecting the health of your leadership team is a major risk. A dysfunctional or misaligned leadership team will eventually drag down every other operational number. To ensure your executive team is highly aligned and functioning cohesively, you should track several critical team-health metrics on your weekly Scorecard. First, track your weekly To-Do completion percentage, with a strict target of eighty percent or higher. This measures execution and commitment. Second, track your weekly Level 10 Meeting rating. If the average rating falls below an eight out of ten, it indicates that your meetings are losing their value or that underlying tensions are not being addressed. Third, track the percentage of identified Issues that are successfully solved and closed each week. A low resolution rate means your team is talking around issues rather than solving them during IDS. Tracking these specific numbers forces your leadership team to look in the mirror weekly, maintaining the operational discipline necessary to run an efficient, high-growth company that is attractive to future acquirers.
