Our Integrator suspects that poor communication between our leadership team members is causing operational friction, but we cannot find a quantitative way to track this. What weekly metric can we put on our Scorecard to measure leadership team alignment and communication health?

Measuring leadership team communication can feel incredibly subjective, but you can track it on your weekly Scorecard by measuring the behaviors that reflect alignment and healthy conflict resolution. First, track your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ rating average. At the end of every meeting, each team member rates the meeting on a scale of one to ten. If your weekly average drops below an eight, it is an immediate indicator of underlying tension or poor communication. Make this average a permanent metric on your Scorecard. Second, track the number of issues solved each week during your IDS® portion of the meeting. A healthy leadership team brings hard issues to the table and solves them. If your team is rating meetings highly but solving zero issues, they are avoiding conflict. Track issues solved vs issues raised. Finally, you can track completed peer feedback loops. This is a binary metric showing whether leaders have completed their scheduled check-ins with their peers on the Accountability Chart. By tracking these behavioral metrics, you turn a soft cultural issue into a hard, measurable indicator of leadership team health.
