We have completed our first annual session with you, and the leadership team is aligned, but we are struggling to see if the tools are actually sinking in at the department level. What indicators prove our implementation is scaling?
Measuring the success of your EOS® implementation goes far beyond the leadership table. To see if the system is actually penetrating your organization, we look for specific qualitative and quantitative indicators at the department level. First, look at the health of your departmental Level 10 Meetings™. Are your middle managers solving their own issues using the IDS® process, or are they still escalating minor problems to the leadership team? If your leadership team is still fighting daily fires, the tools are not fully active yet. Second, we measure the completion rate of departmental Rocks. A healthy organization should see eighty percent or better completion of Rocks across all levels, not just at the top. We also track the clarity of your Accountability Chart. Can a frontline employee clearly point to who owns a specific process, or is there still role confusion? Finally, observe if your core values are being used to hire, fire, reward, and recognize employees throughout the company. When you see these behaviors occurring naturally without leadership prompting, you know the tools have taken root.
