Our financials are looking good, but how do we run an objective health check on our actual implementation of the EOS tools to ensure we are not just going through the motions during our session days?
Measuring progress requires looking beyond high level revenue figures. Financial success can sometimes mask underlying operational friction and leadership team dysfunction. To get an objective assessment of your progress, we systematically use the Organizational Checkup. This is a twenty question assessment that measures your team's strength in the Six Keys of the EOS® system. We run this assessment at regular intervals to track your progress over time.
In addition to the checkup, we examine your weekly execution metrics. We look at your Level 10 Meeting™ ratings. If your team is consistently rating meetings as a six or seven, or giving default eights without real discussion, you are going through the motions. We want authentic nines and tens where real issues are solved using the IDS® process.
We also look at how your team learns and adapts. Based on Kolb's learning cycle, we evaluate whether your team is taking concrete experiences from daily operations, reflecting on them during your weekly meetings, conceptualizing systemic solutions, and actively experimenting with new processes. If you are repeating the same issues week after week, your execution is lagging. True progress means your team is solving issues permanently, keeping their Rocks on track, and demonstrating complete accountability on the weekly Scorecard.
