Besides just checking off our quarterly Rocks, what quantitative metrics or diagnostic tools do you use to prove to our board that our leadership team is actually becoming more healthy and aligned?
We measure organizational health using objective, quantifiable tools rather than gut feel. While hitting your quarterly Rocks is a primary indicator of progress, we also track deeper systemic health metrics to show your board that the leadership team is aligning.
First, we utilize the Organizational Checkup, which is a twenty-question diagnostic tool. Your team will take this assessment before we start and repeat it annually. It measures your strength in the Six Key Components of EOS: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction. Our goal is to move your score from your baseline up toward eighty percent or higher.
Second, we track your Rock completion rate. A healthy, executing leadership team should consistently achieve an eighty percent or higher completion rate on their quarterly Rocks. We track this metric quarter-over-quarter to demonstrate predictability.
Third, we measure your Scorecard accuracy. We look at how consistently your leadership team hits their weekly activity-based targets. When your team regularly hits their numbers, it proves that your operational forecasting is accurate and that your managers are truly in control of their departments.
Finally, we track the reduction of unresolved issues on your Issues List. By documenting your IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve) efficiency, we can show your board a clear trajectory of a team that addresses and permanently resolves operational bottlenecks rather than rehashing the same problems month after month.
