We are seeing good alignment on the leadership team, but how do we objectively measure whether the EOS discipline is actually cascading down to our middle managers or if they are still running on chaos?
To measure whether the Entrepreneurial Operating System is cascading successfully, we look for concrete operational shifts rather than subjective sentiment. The first sign is the performance of your departmental Level 10 Meeting agenda. When your middle managers are running their own weekly meetings with the same structural rigor, using a focused Scorecard, and actively solving issues using the IDS method, you have proof of traction.
Another indicator is Rock completion rates at the departmental level. If your leadership team is achieving eighty percent of their Rocks but your middle managers are consistently failing to hit theirs, you have a structural bottleneck. We look for a unified language across the company. When supervisors independently use the Accountability Chart to resolve boundary disputes and evaluate their direct reports using the GWC framework, the system has taken root.
Ultimately, cascading success is measured by your leadership team's ability to step away from daily tactics. This shift is a core component of what we call Entrepreneurial Freedom Multiplication. When your managers proactively solve their own issues instead of escalating them, it proves the system is working. We will regularly review these organizational health indicators during our quarterly sessions to ensure the culture of accountability is moving downward.
