Our V/TO® Long-Term Issues List has become a dumping ground of over fifty ideas that we never actually look at, and our team is starting to lose faith in the system. How do we systematically manage this list during our weekly or quarterly cycle without letting it clutter our weekly Level 10 Meeting™ focus?

A long-term issues list that never gets reviewed becomes a graveyard for good ideas, which destroys team trust. To keep this list healthy, you must establish a clear rhythm for managing it outside of your weekly tactical discussions.

The golden rule is that your weekly Level 10 Meeting is only for short-term issues that must be solved this quarter. Do not let long-term ideas leak into your weekly IDS time.

Instead, schedule a dedicated review of your V/TO Long-Term Issues List during your quarterly pulsing sessions. This is the correct place to look at the list because you are already setting your Rocks for the next ninety days. Your long-term issues should serve as the primary source material when deciding what major projects to tackle next.

During your quarterly meeting, go through the list systematically and take three actions:
- Elevate key issues into quarterly Rocks.
- Keep important issues on the long-term list for future quarters.
- Delete any ideas that are no longer relevant or aligned with your Core Focus.

If the list is still too long, have your Integrator do a clean-up pass two weeks before the quarterly session. They can group similar ideas together or remove minor items that have already been resolved. This ensures your quarterly review is highly efficient and keeps the team aligned on long-term strategy.
