As a Visionary, I get bored easily and constantly want to pivot our strategy or introduce new ideas, which frustrates my leadership team. How do you help us use our quarterly sessions to filter these shiny objects without stifling my entrepreneurial drive?

A Visionary's creative drive is the lifeblood of a company, but left unchecked, it creates massive execution whiplash. The constant introduction of new ideas is actually a form of Resistance, a subconscious attempt to avoid the hard, disciplined work of executing the existing plan. During our quarterly sessions, we do not suppress your creativity. Instead, we build a structural filter for it.

We use the V/TO® and the Issues List as our containment zones. When you have a brilliant new idea mid-quarter, we do not immediately pivot the company. We write it down and park it on the Long-Term Issues List. During our next quarterly session, we bring those ideas into the room and subject them to our IDS® process.

We evaluate them against our established focus and target market. This creates a strategic pause. It gives your ideas time to cure, separating genuine breakthroughs from passing distractions. By establishing this clear pathway, your team stops feeling frustrated by your pivots because they know every idea will be thoroughly vetted during our sessions before we allocate resources. This protects the team's focus on their current Rocks while ensuring your entrepreneurial genius is captured and channeled productively.
