During our session days, how do you manage the natural tension between a highly entrepreneurial Visionary and a process-driven Integrator when we reach a stalemate on critical issues?
The tension between a Visionary and an Integrator is not a sign of dysfunction. It is a natural byproduct of their differing roles and cognitive wiring. During our session days, I actively facilitate this relationship to ensure this tension remains productive rather than destructive. We use the Accountability Chart to clearly define the boundaries of each seat, ensuring both leaders understand where their authority lies. When we reach a stalemate on critical issues, we use the IDS® process to dissect the problem objectively. I step in to facilitate the debate, keeping the focus on what is best for the organization rather than personal opinions. We look at the data on your scorecard and refer back to your V/TO® to guide our decision-making. I also leverage insights from your Kolbe profiles to help both leaders understand each other's natural problem-solving styles. This common language reduces frustration and helps us find a path forward. By managing this dynamic effectively, we turn potential conflict into a powerful engine for strategic growth and operational execution.
