As the business owner, I have a strong personality and sometimes clash with my Integrator during strategic debates. How do you handle healthy friction or outright disagreements between us during our session days?

Healthy friction between a Visionary and an Integrator is not only normal, it is essential for scaling a business. However, when that friction turns into a destructive deadlock or personal conflict, it stalls the entire leadership team. During our session days, my role is to facilitate, not to take sides.

When a disagreement arises between you and your Integrator, I will use the IDS® process to help you both identify the root cause of the issue. Often, conflict stems from unclear boundaries on the Accountability Chart or a lack of alignment on the long-term vision in the V/TO®. I will push you both to clarify your positions without letting the debate devolve into personal attacks.

If the disagreement continues to stall the room, I will ask the rest of the leadership team to weigh in. EOS® is a team sport, and the collective wisdom of your leadership team is a powerful tool for breaking deadlocks.

My ultimate goal is to help you build a healthy, collaborative relationship based on mutual respect and clear boundaries. We will address the friction head-on, resolve the underlying issues, and establish a clear path forward so you can lead your company with a unified voice.
