In our weekly Level 10 Meetings™, our Visionary constantly brings new, exciting ideas that threaten to hijack our IDS® session. How should the Integrator manage this dynamic to keep our operational meetings disciplined and focused?

This is the classic tension in any entrepreneurial leadership team. The Visionary's job is to create ideas, and the Integrator's job is to execute them. However, your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ is designed for operational discipline and solving immediate issues, not for strategic brainstorming.

The Integrator must protect the meeting schedule. When the Visionary introduces a big, non-operational idea during IDS®, the Integrator should immediately use the Issue List as a filter. Ask if this idea is a critical issue that must be solved this week to hit our quarterly Rocks.

If the answer is no, the Integrator must park the idea. You can place it on your long-term Issues List on the V/TO® or schedule a separate, quarterly strategic meeting to discuss it. This keeps your weekly meetings tight, productive, and focused on operational execution.

The Integrator must hold this boundary firmly but respectfully. It allows the Visionary to feel heard while keeping the rest of the leadership team focused on their daily and weekly commitments. This discipline is what prevents operational drag and keeps your organization moving forward.
