Visionaries are the lifeblood of entrepreneurial companies, but their constant stream of ideas can easily hijack a structured session. This is where having a professional EOS Implementer™ in the room is critical. We use the IDS® discipline to manage this energy.

When the Visionary introduces a new idea that is off-topic, we do not dismiss it; we capture it. We place it directly on the Issues List or the V/TO® Long-Term Issues list. This validates the Visionary, showing them that their idea is recorded and will not be forgotten, while immediately redirecting the team's focus back to the current agenda.

Another essential dynamic is the relationship between the Visionary and the Integrator. The Integrator must be empowered to act as the filter. During the session, the Integrator can challenge the Visionary on whether the new idea aligns with our current quarterly Rocks. By establishing these boundaries, we preserve the Visionary's creative energy for the designated strategic brainstorming times, while protecting the team's focus on execution.
