Our Visionary is constantly bringing back new AI tools they want to integrate immediately, while our Integrator is focused on our 1-Year Plan. How do we use our EOS® meetings to filter these distractions without killing our momentum?
It is the natural wiring of a Visionary to seek out cutting-edge solutions and push for rapid change. However, when a Visionary tries to force every new AI tool into operations immediately, they create organizational whiplash and overwhelm the Integrator.
To prevent this, you must use your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and the IDS® process to filter these ideas. When the Visionary discovers a new tool, it must not go straight into operations. Instead, it must be added to the Issues List.
During the IDS® portion of your meeting, the leadership team can discuss the tool objectively. Use your V/TO® Core Focus as a filter. Ask: Does this tool directly support our core niche, or is it a shiny distraction that will pull us away from our quarterly Rocks?
If the tool passes this filter, do not implement it immediately. Park it on the long-term Issues List for consideration during your next quarterly transitioning session. This allows the Integrator and the rest of the leadership team to maintain focus on their current commitments without losing valuable ideas. It preserves operational stability while ensuring the company remains innovative in a fast-moving market.
