A session day is demanding, intense, and requires your absolute focus. It is natural for leadership teams to occasionally fall back into comfortable habits, which usually means diving deep into tactical firefighting or arguing over day-to-day operations. This is where my role as a neutral facilitator becomes critical.

When I see the team getting bogged down in the weeds, I will interrupt the conversation. I will ask you if this discussion is high-level or if it is a tactical distraction that belongs in your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ instead. We will use the Issue List to capture those operational points so you do not lose them, but we will immediately pull your focus back to the big picture.

We are in that room to work on the business, not in it. I use the strict, time-tested EOS® session agenda to keep us moving forward. If past arguments surface, we will handle them through IDS® to find the root cause, solve it forever, and move on. My job is to maintain the energy, hold you accountable to the agenda, and ensure that by the end of the day, you have clear, actionable Rocks and complete alignment.
