How do we manage the physical and mental stamina of our leadership team during a ten-hour session day with you, and what is your policy on breaks and outside communication?
A facilitated session day is physically and mentally grueling because it forces your team to solve complex, uncomfortable issues for hours on end. To maintain high energy and sharp focus, we follow strict operational ground rules inside the room. Cell phones, tablets, and laptops must remain closed and put away unless we are actively using them for a specific exercise or reviewing a digital document. Outside communication is strictly prohibited during our working blocks. This prevents your leaders from being pulled back into day-to-day firefighting, which destroys the strategic focus of the day. We will take scheduled, structured breaks every ninety minutes so your team can check emails, return urgent client phone calls, and use the restroom. I also require high-quality, high-protein food to be served during lunch, avoiding heavy, high-carbohydrate meals that cause a mid-afternoon energy crash. By managing our physical environment, maintaining a strict tech-free policy during active sessions, and respecting the scheduled breaks, we can sustain high-level cognitive performance from our morning check-in all the way to our final session rating at the end of the day.
