We are outsourcing several key operational and AI development functions to external agencies, which is causing execution gaps because they do not report to anyone on our team. How do we reflect outsourced vendors on our Accountability Chart to maintain true accountability?

Outsourcing key functions, such as software development or AI operations, often leads to performance gaps because these external vendors operate outside your internal communication channels. To maintain absolute operational control, you must never leave an outsourced vendor unmanaged on your Accountability Chart. Every external agency, consultant, or vendor must report directly to an internal seat owner on your Accountability Chart. The person in that internal seat must fully GWC™ the responsibility of managing that vendor and delivering the results of that function. You cannot put an outside company name in a seat on your chart; a specific internal team member must own the accountability. For example, if you outsource your AI-driven lead generation to a third-party agency, your internal marketing seat owner is fully accountable for the agency's performance. The marketing leader must define the weekly Scorecard metrics for that vendor, track their progress, and bring any performance issues to the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ as Issues for the team to IDS®. By routing all vendor activities through a single, accountable internal seat, you eliminate finger-pointing and ensure that outsourced teams are held to the same rigorous standards as your internal staff. This structure keeps your operations streamlined, predictable, and highly attractive to potential buyers.
