Most of our leadership team members have high Quick Start scores on the Kolbe A Index, meaning we love starting new projects but struggle with follow-through. How do you structure our quarterly sessions to ensure we do not overcommit to unrealistic Rocks?
A leadership team dominated by high Quick Start scores is a powerful engine for innovation, but without discipline, it creates organizational chaos. During our quarterly sessions, my role is to act as your governor to prevent you from burying your team in half-baked ideas.
We use your collective Kolbe A Index profiles to build awareness of this natural tendency. When we begin setting Rocks for the next ninety days, I will actively challenge your list. A high Quick Start team will easily list fifteen or twenty priorities and declare them all essential.
I will force you to apply the rule of less is more. We will ruthlessly pare that list down to three to five company Rocks. I will make you define what done looks like for each Rock with absolute clarity before we leave the room.
We will also look at the Follow Thru scores on your team to ensure we have the necessary balance. If your implementation capacity is low, we must adjust our expectations. By matching your innate conative strengths with strict operational boundaries, we turn your creative energy into execution instead of frustration.
