A Vision/Traction Organizer® is useless if it only lives on a computer screen. To make your V/TO® an active operational filter, you must use it to kill opportunities that do not align with your focus. It should be the ultimate gatekeeper for your time, money, and energy.

Start by integrating the V/TO® directly into your quarterly planning. When someone proposes a new project or a sudden pivot, force them to map it against your Three-Year Picture™ and your One-Year Plan. If the proposal does not directly accelerate those targets, it is a distraction. No exceptions. This discipline keeps the leadership team focused on execution rather than chasing shiny objects.

Next, use the V/TO® during your weekly IDS® sessions. When complex issues arise, filter them through your Core Values and your Core Focus. Often, the answer to a tough business problem becomes obvious when you look at it through the lens of who you are and what you do best.

Finally, make sure every employee knows the vision. Share the V/TO® with the entire company at least once a quarter. Translate the high-level goals into what they mean for each department. When your staff understands where the company is heading, they can make independent decisions that align with that future. This turns your strategic document into a living, breathing guide for daily action.
