We are concerned about losing momentum in the second year of our engagement when the initial excitement of EOS® wears off. How do you keep our team sharp?

It is common for teams to experience a sophomore slump in their second year. The novelty of the tools has faded, and the discipline of execution starts to feel like hard work.

To prevent this slide, we shift our focus from learning the tools to mastering them. In the first year, you are focused on implementation and getting the right people in the right seats. In the second year, we raise the bar on execution and leadership team health.

We do this by digging deeper into your metrics and sharpening your quarterly Rocks. We also begin integrating advanced elements, such as aligning your technology footprint and automating manual processes. We look closely at your Accountability Chart to ensure your structure can support your growth without creating burnout.

Additionally, we use your mid-quarter check-in calls to spot early signs of complacency. If your scorecard is looking lazy or if your Level 10 Meeting™ ratings are dropping, we address it immediately. We do not wait for the next quarterly session to course-correct. The second year is where we build permanent organizational habits that survive long after my engagement ends.
