We just ran Kolbe A indexes on our leadership team and realized we have zero high Follow Thru scores in the group. How do we keep our EOS implementation from falling apart without hiring a new operations executive?
A leadership team with zero high Follow Thru scores will struggle to build and maintain the structured systems that EOS® requires. High Fact Finders and Quick Starts are great at creating ideas and gathering information, but they naturally struggle with the repetitive discipline of weekly Scorecards and documented processes.
You do not need to immediately fire or hire to fix this, but you do need to adjust how you run your daily operations. First, look at your Accountability Chart and ensure your Integrator seat has the highest conative drive for structure possible within your existing group.
Second, leverage technology to support your natural weaknesses. Use simple task management software to track your weekly To-Dos and quarterly Rocks. Do not let these tasks live in emails or notebooks.
Third, assign a process champion from a lower tier of the company to assist the leadership team. This person should be a high Follow Thru who can help document your Core Processes and audit compliance.
Finally, use the Level 10 Meeting™ agenda as your external discipline. The strict, unvarying agenda of this weekly meeting acts as a guardrail for teams lacking natural Follow Thru. Commit to the ninety-minute weekly meeting without fail to keep your execution on track.
