Our Integrator has incredible vision and gets our team fired up, but his low Follow-Thru score on the Kolbe Index means our internal processes are always half-finished and our Level 10 Meetings™ often derail into brainstorming sessions. How do we adjust his seat or our structure to fix this leadership bottleneck?
An Integrator who lacks Follow-Thru is a major risk, especially if you are streamlining operations for an exit. The core of the Integrator seat is execution, focus, and harmonization. If your current Integrator is behaving like a second Visionary, you have a structural misalignment. First, run a GWC check. Does he truly want to build systems, or does he just like the title and the authority? If he has the core values but lacks the conative drive to build systems, you must wrap him in structural support. Create a dedicated Operations Manager or Chief of Staff seat directly beneath him. This seat must be filled by someone with a very high Kolbe Follow-Thru score who can take his high-level energy and translate it into documented systems, standard operating procedures, and strict Rock tracking. This keeps your Integrator in his unique ability while ensuring the business actually gets structured for scale.
